Outside Decor

A great mother’s day gift for the gardener and/or the music lover in your life. These wooden wind chimes are gorgeous. The engraving says, “Mom, Listen to the wind and know that I love you, Always and Forever.” Something a little unique as well would be this rain drum that creates music when the rain hits it. You just place it in your garden and wait for the clouds to roll in.

I recently bought one of these solar powered lanterns for a dear friends birthday and she loved it! There are different designs to choose from, depending on your budget. This particular company has a butterfly and hummingbird option. Being solar powered means it’s simple to set up and can be placed anywhere the sun will shine. Pathways, decks, BBQ area, hot tub lighting, saunas, gardens, etc. Something similar to check out are these solar powered watering cans. They need to be hung to get the desired effect, but bring a unique look to the backyard space.
Interior Decor

Now, this one could be considered outside decoration as well, since it could be placed in a greenhouse or shed. There are various designs to choose from, so you’ll be able to pick the one that suits your mom the best. They are stained glass sun catchers that will add beauty to any space your mom chooses.
First Time Moms
If you’re buying for a first time parent, these are some great options that I know I would have loved if gifted to me. This Mommy and Me frame is simple and will fit most aesthetics. You just need to add your picture. I remember when these sculptures could be found everywhere in stores. They are simple and sweet. And I would be remiss if I didn’t include this book, by Robert Munsch, which is still a favourite in our home.

Every Day Use Mother’s Day Gifts
Now, if you have a coffee drinking mom, there are so many options out there. Different styles, shapes, colours to suite your mom’s needs. I personally love these tumblers for water and homemade hydrating drinks. Mine doesn’t say “Cool Moms Club” though. I think I need to fix that!

For the mom who loves to read, this “one more chapter” blanket is perfect! You can pair it with this box set, which includes socks, a candle, a key chain, necklace, page holder, glass cup, bath bomb and storage bag.
Dog Mom Gifts

If you’re in the market for gifts that show how much she is loved by the furry babies in your life, then these are some great options for Mother’s Day. These socks that say, “I can’t get up right now. The dog is on my lap.” This tumbler and key chain that say, “Best Dog Mom Ever.”
Personalized Options
If you have planned ahead and have the time to customize a gift for your mom, there are incredible shops out there who do beautiful work. Whether you go through Amazon, Etsy or a local to you business, your creativity can really shine with a variety of products to choose from.
These Mama Bear and Papa Bear mugs are adorable and perfect. You can customize the year you became parents. You can also customize sweaters and put your children’s names on the sleeve. (These would also be great for the grandmothers in your life.) Another option is a customizable tote bag, where you can request the first initial of her name. With personalization, you can really tailor your mother’s day gift to their hobbies, favourite colours and passions.

I hope this list of budget friendly ideas for mother’s day gifts inspires you to find the perfect present. Our moms do so much for us and rarely want anything in return. Showing our appreciation for all they do is one small way to ensure they feel seen and loved. Happy Mother’s Day!
